Hello Church Family
As you know, the Governor has given churches the privilege to meet on a limited scale beginning Sunday, May 17. So after following closely the guidelines he has given us and after much discussion with church pastors in our area and from the SBC of Virginia and from CDC guidelines and prayer, we are ready to move forward.
This Sunday will be our first day to reopen for worship together and we need your help to make this transition as smooth as possible. There is a longer more extensive document attached with more details of what is happening now and for the future but here are the basic things you need to know for the next few Sundays.
- We will be offering two services, one at 9am and the other at 10:30am. Both services will be the same. But only the 10:30 service will be shown on YouTube Live. The room will be limited to approximately 50 people for now. That is part of phase 2 and based on the 50% occupancy the Governor is allowing us to have. If you are planning to bring your family please occupy a row together without spacing between. Otherwise keep 3 seats between each person or family. This allows more people to occupy the room safely. Please email me and let me know which service you plan on attending or if you will not attend until a later date! This will give us an idea of how many will attend each service.
- Parking and entering the building. The English congregation will park in the front and enter only by the sanctuary or office doors as will the Kachin congregation in the afternoon. The Spanish congregation will park in the back and use the kitchen door to enter and exit. Other doors will be open for fire code purposes but should not be used unless there is an official emergency.
- The building is now sectioned off into three areas. The English service will use the sanctuary and restrooms in the office wing. The Educational wing will be closed as it is still being used for counseling. The fellowship hall will be used by the Spanish congregation. Please stay in the area you are using.
- We will not require masks or gloves but please wear them if you feel you should for your safety and the safety of your family. We do ask you adhere to social distancing recommendation especially while seated in the sanctuary. Hand sanitizer will be available at the doors.
We so look forward to seeing your smiling faces again in person! Thank you all for your prayers, support and understanding during this historic time we are in. Blessings to you all!
Remember...God is good all the time!
